titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF 3-HYDROXY DERIVATIVES OF 1,4-BENZODIAZEPIN-2-ONE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 3-hydroxy derivatives of 1,4-benzodiazepine-2-ones of the general formula I, in which R is a hydrogen or chlorine atom, for use as medicaments, in particular as tranquilizers. The aim of the invention is a simple and economical process for the preparation of these compounds. According to the invention, they are prepared starting from new 7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-3-hydrazino-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-ones of general formula II, in which R has the above meaning, by reaction with sodium nitrite (NaNO & ind 2% in hot salt or sulfuric acid medium at a temperature of -5 to 0 ° C.
