abstract Diazidodiophenyl disulfides are important for generating reactive intermediates for organic syntheses (formation of nitrenes and / or reactive radicals) 9, but they can also serve to generate stable radicals.The object of the invention is to provide a process for preparing the hitherto unknown diazidodiphenyl disulphides.The object of the invention is diazidodiphenyl disulfides are obtained by tetrazotization of the corresponding diaminodiphenyl disulfides and subsequent reaction with a salt of hydrazoic acid. Fields of application of the invention are synthetic organic processes in which nitrenes or radicals are important as reactive intermediates, such as all free-radical polymerization reaction.
