The organic solvent-containing exhaust air of industrial plants is purified by either being introduced directly into a fermenter, whereby the organic solvent is utilized by microorganisms, or a separation of the solvent occurs, for example by sorption, with subsequent fermentation. In addition to cleaning the exhaust air, microbial protein is recovered. |
