titleOfInvention METHOD FOR RECYCLING CHROMIUM SLUDGE
abstract Methods are proposed for the utilization of chrome leather sludge, which are applicable in the field of light industry or the chemical and metallurgical industry. The invention is for the production of chromium and / or chromium carbide, wherein chromium anfaellt particular in finely dispersed form. To reduce the chromium oxide present in the chrome leather sludge, carbon is also used for the organic constituents, and excess carbon is bound by feeding (directly or as a plasma gas) an oxidizing agent into carbon oxides. The oxidizing agents used are oxygen or oxygen-containing oxidizing gases or mixtures thereof.
