titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR OBTAINING SINGLE-CELL PROTEIN
abstract The invention relates to a method for obtaining microbial protein, preferably single-celled protein based on hydrocarbons and ethanol. The invention has for its object to carry out the conversion by appropriate Masznahmen and feed products so that a higher utilization of the use and auxiliary products is made possible. The object is achieved by purifying a biomass grown in a manner known per se by extraction with an ethanol-hydrocarbon mixture, wherein the hydrocarbons can be in the boiling range of 40-120 ° C., and this methanol used for the extraction is separated from the extract or from the hydrocarbon mixture by adding water and is used to produce a second biomass as a substrate. The aqueous phases containing nitrogen compounds, nutrient salts and trace elements which are obtained during the separation of the biomass are used wholly or partly as feed water for the production of biomass. Likewise, the extract dissolved in the hydrophilic solvent middle part is used as a fermentation aid for the second biomass production.
