The invention relates to a highly sensitive, bipolar electrophotographic photosensitive material based on poly (N-vinylcarbazole), whose sensitization is achieved in the red spectral range by addition of 0.1 to 2 wt .-% of an organic dye salt. Sensitizing salts according to the present invention are, for example, Crystal Violet Picrate & C > > >! & C > > H > > &ngr;! &Nbsp; &ngr;! &Nbsp; > >! &Ni;! The recording material according to the invention forms homogeneous films from various solvents which, with a visual optical density <0.25, are still suitable for electrophotographic recording in both positive and negative charging. The new recording material is suitable for microfiches, tape-like recording material as well as electrophotographic plates and drums. |
