titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE QUALITY ESTABLISHMENT OF COAL
abstract A slurry of coal and a hydrogen releasable solvent is subjected to catalyst-free hydrogenation along with hydrogen in a first hydrogenation zone to obtain a co-slurry of coal and solvent. After removing the ashes from the coal and solvent caulk to form a coal and solvent solution, it is subjected to catalytic hydrogenation in a second hydrogenation zone to yield a product which at ambient pressure a) converts to a first liquid fraction having boiling points in the range B) a second liquid fraction having boiling points above said first liquid fraction in a temperature range of about 200 degrees C to about 525 degrees C, and c) a solid and / or semi-solid Material can be separated. Following separation, at least a portion of the second liquid fraction of the first hydrogenation zone is recycled.
