titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ESTE N OF ANDROSTADIEN-17-CARBONSAEUREN |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel esters of androstadiene-17-carboxylic acids having an inflammatory effect for direct application in medicine or for further processing into pharmacologically valuable compounds. The aim of the invention is to enrich the state of the art with new antiinflammatory steroids, which have a high anti-inflammatory activity, have as small as possible side effects and are well tolerated. According to the invention, new esters of androstadiene-17-carboxylic acids of the formula I are prepared. In the formula: R = H or Cl, R '= hydroxyl group which is free or esterified with a carboxylic acid having at most 7 carbon atoms, R' '= * or * methylene or methylene group, R' + R '' = 16 *, 17 * -dihydroxyacetonide group, X and Y = each hydrogen, chlorine or fluorine. The Androstadien-17-carboxylic acid ester group should not have more than 11-C atoms. |
