The compounds of the formula …<IMAGE>… in which A represents 6-amino-9H-purin-9-yl or 2-amino-6-hydroxy- 9H-purin-9-yl in which the amino group can be replaced by NHC(O)R<2> or N=CHR<3>R<4> and R is OH or OC(O)R<1>, where R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> independently of one another denote straight-chain or branched C1-20-alkyl, C1-12-alkoxyalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy-C1-4-alkyl, phenyl or phenyl which is substituted by halogen, C1-4-alkoxy, nitro, hydroxyl, carboxyl or alkylamino, and pharmaceutically utilisable salts thereof are of value as agents for the treatment of retroviral infections, such as HIV. |
