abstract This environmentally friendly universal cleaning and de-greasing detergent for use in industry and households is produced as an aqueous solution of 2 to 10 parts by weight of sodium carbonate, 5 to 20 parts by weight of a mixture of oxyethylated fatty alcohols C12-C15 with 7 to 30 moles of ethylene oxide, 5 to 20 parts by weight of 1,2 propandiol, 0.5 to 3 parts by weight of a complex forming agent selected from the group of the trisodium salt of nitrilotriacetic acid. The composition may also include an admixture of 0.01 to 2 parts by weight of sodium nitrite or sodium gluconate and/or trisodium phosphate.
