abstract A near-naked, barium-emitting binary pyrotechnic fuel-emitting fuel is selected from compounds containing molecularly bound sulfur, the noble metal sulfocyanide group Ag, Cu; from thiourea, semicarbazide and a derivative thereof; further from the group of mercaptosulphurates with sulfur bound in the group -SH and / or in the heterocycle including metal, especially copper and copper salts of these compounds, this fuel being in binary mixture with a suitable oxidizing agent, zinc peroxide ZnO 2, does not contain any other pyrotechnic devices. A near-IR radiation emitting binary pyrotechnic mixture is formed by this fuel and oxidizer, which is zinc peroxide ZnO 2, where the amount of fuel is 5 to 60% by weight and the amount of oxidizer is 40 to 95% by weight. The trace element emitting radiation in the near IR region contains this binary pyrotechnic mixture. Also described is a method of preparing fuel for a binary pyrotechnic composition.
