abstract The process for purifying the raw acrylic acid melt, wherein the crude acid is converted to a crude acrylic acid suspension consisting of acrylic crystal and residual melt under low temperatures, wherein acrylic crystals in this suspension are freed from adhering residual melt to the wash column. The pure acrylic acid crystals in the crude acrylic acid suspension are formed in the presence of water. The washing column utilizes the forced transport of the acrylic acid crystal and the acrylic acid melt, purified on the wash column, is used as the washing liquid.
