titleOfInvention Carrier material for biofilm formation
abstract Biofilm-forming material in packed biological permeable reactive barriers, for the remediation of groundwater with polluted organic compounds, contains 5-6 parts by volume of crushed PET size fractions of 3 to 5 cm, 3 to 2 parts by volume of expanded clay - expanded clay fraction 0.8 to 1, 6 cm and 2 parts by volume of the fraction 0.5 to 1 cm, while the crushed PET and clay are mixed together mechanically, the gravel being then added as the top / front and bottom / back layers of the filling, depending on the direction of groundwater flow.
