titleOfInvention A method for producing lightweight alumosilicate polymer based materials
abstract The process for producing lightweight alumosilicate polymer-based materials as a foamed building material consists in preparing a mixture comprising an alumosilicate substance, water, an alkaline activator containing at least 4 to 15 wt. On the basis of the weight of the alumosilicate substance, and after homogenizing the mixture, amorphous, highly fine SiO2 is added. and the mixture is heated to at least 30 degC. The alumosilicate substance is siliceous or calcareous ash with a specific surface area of 200 to 600 m.sup.2 / kg, granulated blast furnace slag, or mixtures thereof with clay substances. The alkaline activator is alkaline sodium hydroxide, sodium water glass or mixtures thereof. The mixture contains 0.2 to 20 wt. highly amorphous SiO 2, such as Si, Ferrosilicon or Aerosil production. Water / alumosilicate ratio = 0.3 to 0.9. The composition may further comprise additives such as gas generating agents (e.g., Al powder, hydrogen peroxide) or foaming agents (surfactants) and foam stabilizers and / or accelerating the hardening of the alumosilicate polymer such as Al (OH) 3, Ca ( OH), CaO, Portland cement and / or filler such as inorganic or organic fibers, lightweight aggregates (e.g. perlite).
