The use of statin drugs to improve diabetic neuropathy, in particular to improve the rate of nerve conduction and neural blood flow in patients suffering from diabetes, particularly pharmaceutical combinations of statin drugs and other agents known to ameliorate diabetic neuropathy, such as an aldose reductase inhibitor (ARI) , an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor or an angiotensin II (AII) antagonist, which combinations can be used to prevent and treat complications of diabetes. |
