titleOfInvention Hyaluronic acid derivative oxidized at the 6-position of the glucosamine moiety of the polysaccharide selectively to the aldehyde, its method of preparation and its method of modification
abstract The present invention relates to the preparation and modification of a hyaluronic acid derivative with an aldehyde group at position 6 of the glucosamine moiety of the polysaccharide. Oxidation of hyaluronic acid can be accomplished using Dess-Martin periodinane (DMP). The prepared aldehyde, which is in water in the form of a geminal diol, can be used to bind the amine, diamine, amino acids, peptide, and other amino-containing compounds, e.g., by reductive amination with NaBH 3 in water or water. -organic solvent. In the case of the use of diamine or compounds containing three or more amino groups, cross-linked hyaluronan derivatives can be prepared. Cross-linked derivatives can also be prepared by reacting an aldehyde with a hyaluronan-substituted aminoalkyl group of HA-alkyl-NH2.
