abstract |
The heterocyclic sulfonamide of formula I wherein R.sup.1 is n. is a heterocyclic radical selected from pyridyl and thiazolyl which is optionally substituted by C.sub.1-C.sub.7. alkyl or C.sub.1. alkenyl; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. This sulfonamide is an inhibitor of endothelin receptors and as such can be used to treat diseases associated with abnormal vascular tone and endothelial dysfunction. Methods for its preparation and corresponding intermediates of formula III and V. Medical applications of the sulfonamide of formula I and the pharmaceutical composition thereof. |
