abstract | The present invention relates to a method for assessing the immunological status of a subject comprising the step of (1) determining the antibody content of a liquid subject sample using an immunoassay, wherein the reaction between the sample antibody and the antigen, antibody, or hapten ligand, wherein the ligand is directed against the Fab region of the sample antibody, performs in the presence of other sample components to obtain measurement 1, step (2), wherein the antibody content of the liquid sample is determined using an immunoassay, wherein the reaction between the sample antibody and the ligand in the form of antigen, antibody, or hapten, wherein the ligand is directed against the Fab region of the sample antibody is performed in the absence of other sample components to obtain measurement 2, and step (3) in which measurements 1 and 2 are related to express the interaction and the interaction is used as a parameter to evaluate the subject's immunological status. |
