The quinoline derivative and the quinoxaline of the general formula I, wherein: R.sub.1a.n. and R.sub.1b.n. each independently represent an alkoxy group containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sub.1c.n. is hydrogen; R < 2 > is R < 3 > substituted phenyl; R.sub.3.n. is hydrogen, para-fluoro or meta-halogen; Z.sub.a.n. is N or CH; a Z.sub.b.n. is NH or O; or an N-oxide, hydrate, solvate or salt derived therefrom. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is also within the scope of this invention. Compounds of formula (I) are suitable for use as a medicament for inhibiting cellular proliferation, differentiation or release of a mediator in a subject having cellular proliferative disorders and / or differentiating and / or releasing mediators. . |
