A vitamin D analog of Formula I wherein X is H or OH; R.sup.1.n. and R.sup.2.n. is H or alkyl having 1 to 3 C atoms or R 5 is 1. and R.sup.2.n. together with the C atom bearing the group X forms a carbocyclic ring containing 3 to 6 C atom; R.sup.3.n. is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl, or YR4, wherein Y is -CO-S-, -CS-O- or -CS-S-; R.sup.4.n. is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, aryl or aralkyl; Q is (CH.sub.2.n.), Where n is 1 to 4; pricemz R.sup.1.n., R.sup.2.n. and Q may additionally be independently substituted with one or more F atoms; the method of its manufacture and use for the manufacture of a medicament.
