titleOfInvention | Plasma welding torch |
abstract | The plasma welding torch (11 ') is provided with a chamber (96) in which a direct current non-consuming electrode (19') is provided, wherein the chamber (96) is provided with an outlet channel (97) and an inlet channel (56) for a plasma gas, e.g., argon, helium, hydrogen, etc., and the electrode (19 ') has a free end region that extends at least to the outer end of the outlet channel (97) and tapers against the free end, and an outlet channel (97) to it also tapers to the mouth on the front side of the plasma welding torch (11 '). The inner wall (99) of the outlet duct (97) extends substantially parallel to the tapering portion of the electrode (19 '). The outlet channel (97) is surrounded at least in sections by other channels (102) adapted to conduct the cold plasma gas. The other channels (102) have a smaller cross section than the outlet channel (97) and are open at the front of the plasma welding torch (11 ') having the outlet channel (102) and are in communication with the chamber (96) and the tips of the conical shell surface, determined by the axes of the other channels (102) and the conical shell surfaces of the outlet duct (97), lie at a distance of 3 to 8 mm in front of the outlet duct (97) and substantially equidistant from the outlet duct (97). ŕ |
