The present invention relates to a method of producing a wear-resistant and rolling-contact bainitic steel rail whose microstructure is substantially free of carbides. The process consists of hot-rolled steel steps comprising 0.05 to 0.50% by weight of carbon, 1.00 to 3.00% of silicon and / or aluminum, 0.50 to 2.50% of manganese, and 0.25 to 0.5% by weight of carbon. 2.50% chromium, the remainder being iron and random impurities, and continuously cooling the steel from the rolling temperature naturally in the air. |
