| abstract | The interlabial absorbent structure (20) has a body surface, at least a portion of which is in contact with the wearer ' s interior of the labia when worn. The interlabial absorbent structure (20) includes a liquid pervious topsheet (28) comprising a first fibrous layer, a liquid impervious backsheet (30) disposed beneath the topsheet (28) and an absorbent core (32) disposed between the topsheet (28) and a backsheet (30). The topsheet (28) and the backsheet (30) are bonded with adhesive at least in the periphery of the circumference (21) and encapsulate the absorbent core (32) therebetween. The topsheet (28), the backsheet (30) and the absorbent core (32) have a wearer facing surface and a garment facing surface. The first fibrous layer of the topsheet (28) comprises a wet strength resin, in particular the wet strength resin is a temporary wet strength resin and more preferably comprises a glyoxalate polyacrylamide resin, the backsheet (30) comprises a second fibrous layer that contains the resin with wet strength and the absorbent core (32) is between the topsheet (28) and the backsheet (30) that are bonded together using a water-soluble adhesive. |
