A thermosetting polyester coating system with carboxyl groups and .beta.-hydroxyalkylamide, as well as other conventional sets, contains as a binder resin (a) a single saturated polyester with a slurry of acidity. from 15 to 75, with an OH maximum of 10 and a glass transition temperature of not more than 45 degC, which consists of aliphatic diols and more than 80 mole dl of isophthalic acid, and which contains less than 10 moles of isophthalic acid. one hydroxyalkylamide with at least two hydroxyalkylamide groups. The coating system is composed of (a), (b) and the usual components are mixed at 80 and 130 degC, granulated, grinded, and sized to a grain size of not less than 90. mime.\ |
