abstract The invented product of mineral fibers is made of a mixture of the following oxides: 36 to 55 percent by weight of {SiOi2}, 15 to 30 percent by weight of {Ali2Oi3}, 3 to 30 percent by weight of {CaO}, 5 to 20 percent by weight of {MgO}, 4 to 15 percent by weight of {FeO}, 1 to 12 percent by weight of {Nai2O+Ki2O}, 0 to 6 percent by weight of {TiOi2} and 0 to 15 percent by weight of other elements, whereby the ration of Sie4+ to (Sie4+ + Ale3+) in the oxide mixture is up to 0.67, viscosity of the oxide mixture at liquidus temperature is above 30 Pa.s, the oxide mixture liquidus temperature is up to 1300 degC and dissolution rate mineral fibers at pH 4.5 is at least 20 nm per 24 hours.
