titleOfInvention Process for preparing aromatic amines by hydrogenation in gaseous phase and a catalyst for making the same
abstract The invented preparation process consists in catalytic hydrogenation of nitroaromatics with nitrogen on a fixedly arranged catalyst in a gaseous phase, whereby as a catalyst there is employed palladium on graphite or graphite containing coke as a carrier having BET surface ranging from 0.2 to 10 square meters/g, whereby the palladium amount in the catalyst ranges between 1.5 to 7 percent by weight based on the catalyst total weight and for one equivalent of nitro groups 30 to 6000 equivalents of hydrogen are supplied to the catalyst.
