abstract The invented preparation for treating genitals of domestic animals and intended for treating microbial infections of uterus or vagina as well as other inflammatory diseases of genitals contains aqueous-alcoholic extracts of potmarigold calendula, lady's mantle, common St. Johnswort containing 20 to 60 percent alcohol and essential oil of caraway, coriander and chamomile. The preparation contains 1 to 5 percent by weight potmarigold calendula extract containing at least 23 percent by weight ethanol and at least 2.5 percent by weight dry matter, 3 to 9 percent by weight lady's mantle extract containing at least 30 percent by weight ethanol and at least 2 percent by weight dry matter, 6 to 12 percent by weight common St. Johnswort extract containing at least 50 percent by weight ethanol and at least 3.0 percent by weight dry matter, 0.1 to 0.4 percent by weight essential oil of caraway, 0.01 to 0.6 percent by weight essential oil of coriander and 0.02 to 0.4 percent by weight essential oil of chamomile. This combination of natural substances is preferably thickened with a homopolymer of acrylic acid being cross-linked with pentaerythritol allyl ether or saccharose or hydroxyethylether cellulose or a sodium salt thereof or with polyacrylamide in a mixture with isoparaffins having 13 and 14 carbon atoms, further with ethoxylated lauryl alcohol and surface active agents.
