Amide compounds and their salts, processes for their preparation, and pesticidal compositions containing them. Said amide compounds have the general formula I wherein X is oxygen or sulfur, Y is haloalkyl, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2. which are independently of one another means a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may be substituted, an alkenyl group which may be substituted, an alkynyl group which may be substituted, a cycloalkyl group which may be substituted, -C (W.sup.1. n.)
