The invention concerns a method of producing a lightweight material, in which expanded particles constituting the aggregate are bonded with a binding agent which hardens and contains cement, e.g. cement paste. Expanded vegetable matter, such as expanded maize, expanded rice, expanded potato chippings or the like, is used as aggregate. |
