titleOfInvention Pressurized water nuclear reactor
abstract The pressurized water nuclear reactor contains fuel assemblies located in the cells of the core (2), absorption rods of the control and protection system, rods (16) with secondary neutron sources are located near the ionization chambers in those cells of the core (2) in the reactor bars, and mounted on crossbeams (25). Each rod (16) with a secondary neutron source is hermetically sealed by a tip (20) and a hinge (21) and is formed in the form of a hollow tube (19) filled with helium under pressure, in which a hermetic capsule (18) filled with helium under pressure is placed. The capsule (18) contains tablets (23) of a mixture of beryllium and antimony isotopes, fixed against axial displacement by a fixator (24) located in a free volume (30) inside the capsule (18). The centering of the capsule (18) in the rod (16) is performed by means of a spacer element (26).
