abstract The solution concerns a dietary supplement for specific diets such as the nutrition of athletes, occupations and activities with high energy expenditure or the nutrition of patients during convalescence. This supplement contains a component based on flour from darkling larvae with a controlled composition characterized by a content of 508 to 703 g of nitrogenous substances, 386 to 509 g of total amino acids and 155 to 316 g of fat per kg. This flour can be prepared by a controlled temperature-feeding regime of darkling larvae in the temperature range of 13 to 27 27C with a diet containing 50 to 100% by weight of lentil flour and / or 50 to 100% by weight of wheat bran for 16 to 18 days, followed by extrusion, killing , drying and grinding of larvae.
