titleOfInvention Method for the preparation of tenapanor
abstract The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of tenapanor which is based on the use of a diamine of formula VIII as the starting material. The new process for the preparation of tenapanor leads to a crystalline product in each step and thus increases both the purity and yield of the resulting product. Further, the process allows the expensive chiral-pure input () -3- (6,8-dichloro-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-4-yl) benzenesulfonyl chloride of formula III to enter the process at a later stage, and thus, it further increases the yield of the entire process relative to this feed.
