A thermoplastic composition is provided which is sensitive to an aqueous environment (e.g., water-soluble, water-dispersible, etc.) by losing its integrity over time, in the presence of water, which may also be injection molded. The composition comprises a cellulose derivative, a synthetic water-soluble polymer, and a plasticizer. The desired attributes of the composition, water-sensitive and formable, can be achieved in the present solution by selectively controlling various aspects of the composition, such as the properties of the components used, the relative content of each component, the manner in which the composition is formed, and the like. |
