titleOfInvention | Process for preparing polymeric materials |
abstract | The present invention provides a process for preparing a polymeric material wherein at least one cyclic monomer is mixed with a hydrated double layered hydroxide having the structure [M.sup.2 + .n..sub.1-x. NMsup.3 + .n..sub.x (.sup.m-.n.). sub.x / mn], where A.sup.m-.n. is an m-powerful anion, M. is a divalent metal cation, and M.sup.3 + .n is a trivalent metal cation, the value of x lies in the range of 0.20 <x <0.33, a surface-modified ionic liquid containing a phosphonium cation, in an amount of 0.1 to 9% by weight, based on the weight of the hydrated double layered hydroxide, in wt. the ratio of cyclic monomer to surface modified double layer hydroxide of 100/1 to 10/1, and the resulting suspension is subjected to electromagnetic radiation at a frequency of 915 to 2450 MHz at a temperature of 150 degC to 250 degC, preferably for 3 hours. min to 120 min. |
