titleOfInvention A method for culturing microalgae strains and using strains of microalgae cultured in this manner
abstract In a method of culturing microalgae strains, at least one microalgae strain is simultaneously cultured in one bioreactor, with mainly carotenoid accumulation in its cell biomass and at least one other microalgae strain predominantly with polyunsaturated fatty acid accumulation in its cell biomass. Preferably, a strain of carotenoids accumulate predominantly in their cellular biomass green algae from the order Sphaeropleales, in particular the green algae Scenedesmus sp. , or the eustigmatophyte algae Trachydiscus minutus. The microalgae strains cultivated by the method of the invention are used as a nutritional supplement for both animal nutrition and human nutrition and to extract a mixture of polyunsaturated fatty acids and carotenoids.
