titleOfInvention | Process for the production of collagen and gelatin jelly for pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic purposes |
abstract | The method comprises preparing the collagen-containing animal material in water at least twice, then macerating at 98 to 102 degC for 3 to 5 min. % in water with 0.8 to 1.2 wt. % of hydrogen peroxide based on the weight of animal material. After washing and macerating and removing the maceration solution with blood and fat residues, 1 g of animal material is extracted from 0.8 to 1.2 cm.sup.3 in biological fluid, after 3 to 25 hours at 18 to 42 hours. The mixture is then cooled to a temperature of 18 to 25 degC, and the solids are removed in a semi-sterile medium, for example by filtration, and then allowed to coagulate at 8-12 degC. The animal material is selected from the group consisting of pork legs, beef and poultry bones, tendons, cartilage and pork, poultry and fish skins, and the biological extraction fluid is selected from the group consisting of animal milk, whey, or soy milk. |
