abstract |
The present invention relates to an enzyme capable of stepite hyaluronic acid, which is produced by fungi of the genus Fistulina (especially Fistulina hepatica). Degradation occurs through the lyase mechanism, whereby double bonds between C4 and C5 glucuronic acid are formed. The following describes the preparation and purification of the enzyme and its practical use for the preparation of low molecular weight hyaluronan or cosmetic or pharmaceutical compositions. The solution also relates to a method for preparing low molecular weight hyaluronan. |
