titleOfInvention | Chlamydomonas cf. nivalis for the production of phosphatidylglycerol (PG), a method for increasing the PG content of this production strain, and the use of this production strain for PG production |
abstract | Chlamydomonas cf. nivalis, deposited in the Collection of Autotrophic Organisms of the Institute of Botany AVCR, Trebon, Dukelská 135, under CCALA 970 deposit number: Chlamydomonas cf. nivalis NEDBALOVA, 2011/1, which is usable as a source for industrial production of readily extractable pure phosphatidylglycerol (PG) for chemical standards, pharmaceutical applications and other uses. The paper also describes a method for increasing the content of PG and polyunsaturated fatty acids in a production strain, resulting in its exposure to high or low temperatures, or alternating between high and low temperatures. |
