Postcolon derivatization with solid derivatizing agent in HPLC |
abstract |
The present invention relates to the detection of nitrogenous compounds (amino acids, peptides, amines and derivatives thereof) by "on-line" postcolon derivatization with a solid derivatizing agent (honey or insoluble copper compounds) for spectrophotometric detection in the ultraviolet and visible (UV-VIS) regions of the spectrum. Solid-agent derivatization and subsequent spectrophotometric detection is useful in highly efficient separation methods such as high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and capillary liquid chromatography (CLC). |
