titleOfInvention | A method for producing technical dicyclopentadiene |
abstract | The process for the production of technical dicyclopentadiene consists in using at least one rectification column having an efficiency of 10 to 40 theoretical plates in which pyrolysis gasoline is rectified at atmospheric pressure, a temperature of 117 to 120 degC and a reflux ratio of 0.07 to 0. , 1 the C5 hydrocarbons and the C6 hydrocarbon are first distilled off. Then, by rectification at a pressure of 15 to 20 kPa, a temperature of 117 to 120 degC and a reflux ratio of 3 to 4, the hydrocarbon residue C6 and the C7 to C9 hydrocarbons are distilled off. The dicyclopentadiene fraction is then obtained as a distillate by rectification at a pressure of 3 to 7 kPa, a temperature of 117 and 120 degC and a reflux ratio of 5-7. A distillate containing yellow substances is separated from the rectification column at a pressure of 3 to 7 kPa at the top of the rectification column and at a temperature of at most 110 degC at the top of the rectification column. A distillation residue containing 70 to 96 wt. dicyclopentadiene has a coloration of up to 50 APHA. |
