The geopolymer-based selective nitrogen oxide reduction catalyst comprises at least one type of catalytically active cationic center, namely acidic protons and / or transition metal cations. The catalyst may be shaped, containing a transition metal, honey or cobalt. The method for producing the catalyst is that the pre-curing mixture or the cured geopolymer containing at least the alkaline activator and the aluminosilicate in the sodium, potassium, potassium-calcium or soda-lime form, in a shaped solid or powder state, is added by adding the cation-containing solution necessary to form the catalytically active centers . It can be modified by ion exchange. The process for producing the catalyst can be modified by the addition of an acid solution or a transition metal salt solution. It may also be modified by the addition of a solution of an ammonium salt or a transition metal followed by heating to a temperature of at least 450 degC in a gas environment containing 2 to 100 vol% oxygen. The process for producing the catalyst can also be modified by the addition of particulate or fibrous filler, molding or granulation. |
