abstract |
A composition having improved flame resistance comprising a mixture of a first resin selected from the group consisting of polysulfone, polyethersulfone, polyphenylene ether sulfone and mixtures thereof, a second resin comprising a silicone copolymer and a third resin comprising a resorcinol-based arylpolyester resin wherein 50 or more mole% of the aryl-polyester resorcinol derived aryl ester linkages. These compositions have improved flame resistance. The peak of the heat released by the heat decreases and the time to peak heat release increases. |
