titleOfInvention Disposal of organic halogen derivatives
abstract The invention relates to the use of proteinaceous alkaline hydrolysates as an active carrier of a dehalogenation enzyme for the disposal of organic halogens. This disposal utilizes the fact that alkaline protein hydrolysates efficiently convert halogeno-derivatives of organic compounds into emulsions, thereby greatly increasing the reaction surface of the particles and also reacting with alkali metal and alkaline earth metal carboxyl groups forming salts with the cleaved halogen ion.
