The substance (I), either alone or in admixture with substance (II), is applied directly to a suitable carrier, in solution, in admixture with other substances or in the form of its pro-pheromone derivatives, and is used in various kinds of traps equipped with tacky days for the control of male E.batangensis , or in facilities for mass male trapping, or in insecticide, entomopathogenic spore spores, or other pathogens, or insect growth agents (IGRs), in which males contaminate the subject matter and or pathogens spread to the E.batangensis population at mating or in any contact with other individuals or, finally, these carriers containing the substance in question may be hung up on (or in the vicinity) of the E.batangensis infested bark to desorient their own and prevent them mating with females. |
