abstract The invention relates to the use of bisphosphonic acids and their derivatives in the manufacture of medicaments for the prophylaxis and treatment of autoimmune diseases or allergies in combination with autoantigens specific for the treatment of the respective autoimmune disease, respectively. allergens specific to the treatment of the allergy. Some examples of bisphosphonic acids used, respectively. their derivatives are amino-hydroxymethylmethyl-bisphosphonic acid (AMP), 2-amino-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonic acid (AEP), pamidronic acid, alendronic acid, 6-amino-1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1,1 bisphosphonic (AHP), amidinomethylenebisphosphonic acid (AIMP), ibadronic acid, risedronic acid, zolendronic acid, cimadronic acid, tiludronic acid. Some examples of autoimmune diseases in which bisphosphonic acids and derivatives thereof may be used are rheumatoid arthritis, myasthenia gravis, diabetes mellitus, uveitis, and scarrodermia. Bisphosphonic acids or their derivatives and autoantigens or allergens can be applied simultaneously or sequentially. Combination formulations can be used in solid form as ointments, such as solutions or as sprays.
