titleOfInvention agent for blood separation
abstract A blood separation means received in blood collection tubes characteristically comprises a fatty acid amide(s) blended with a gel-like material as a main ingredient of said means. The amides render stable and less flowable the blood separation means during storage, allowing it to form a stable partition barrier in each collection tube when centrifuged, and the blood cells above barrier are prevented from remaining within the serum. The blood separation means containing the fatty acid amides does not release from it any harmful oily substance.
