titleOfInvention Process for preparing (E, E) -2,4-hexa-dienoic acid 2-propenyl ester
abstract A process for preparing (E, E) -2,4-hexadienoic 2-propenyl ester is describednacid of formula I such that the acid salt of (E, E) -2,4-nhexadiene (sorb) of formula II wherein M is sodium, nthe potassium or ammonium cation is reacted with the 2-propenyl haliden(allyl halide) of Formula III wherein X is chloronor bromine, in a water / organic solvent mixturenwith water in the presence of a phase catalystntransmission. The product of formula I is purified by reduced distillationnpressure.
