abstract There is provided a composition comprising bisethanol which is a composition derived from natural material and containing bisethanol in high concentration, as well as a method of producing the composition. A composition containing piperatanol containing 0.0001 to 99.9 wt%. bisethanol is extracted by extracting Passion fruit seeds. Extraction of pisatanol is carried out by grinding Passion fruit seeds, adding at least one solvent selected between an alcohol-based aqueous solvent and a ketone-based aqueous solvent and shaking to thereby extract the pisatanol if dilated above. In this case, it is preferred to perform a gradient extraction using both the aqueous alcohol-based solvent and the ketone-based aqueous solvent.
