titleOfInvention METHOD AND KIT FOR EYE SURFACE REGULATION
abstract A method for moisturizing the eye, in which an amount of aqueous humor is administered to the eye in an amount lower than that which causes the eye to swell and remove the normal tear film from the ocular surface. Preferably, the liquid consists essentially of water. That is, it does not contain therapeutically active ingredients, although it may contain non-therapeutic ingredients, such as preservatives, lubricants, surfactants and pH buffers. The liquid, when administered in accordance with the invention, hydrates the existing tear fill rather than replaces the tear film. A kit for moisturizing the eye according to the invention is also disclosed.
