AEROFILATED PHOSPHOMYCIN / TOMBRAMYCIN COMBINATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF BACTERIAL RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS |
abstract |
A formulation of a combination of phosphomycin and tobramycin for release by aerosolization is described. The concentrated formulation of a combination of phosphomycin tobramycin containing an effective amount of phosphomycin and tobramycin is able to inhibit the favorable bacteria. Phosphomycin and tobramycin are formulated separately in a double ampoule so that when reconstituted, the pH is between 4.5 and 8.0 or as a dry powder. The method for treating respiratory tract infections by means of a formulation released as an aerosol having an average mass diameter predominant between 1 and 5 m, is produced by a jet nebulizer or ultrasonic nebulizer or inhaler . |
